Is the VPAT generator free?
Yes. VPATify's VPAT generator is completely free to use. You can scan your site, auto-fill a VPAT 2.5 / ACR, and export the document at no cost. What VPAT version does it produce?
VPATify generates a VPAT 2.5 document — the current version maintained by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). VPAT 2.5 includes four edition templates: Section 508, EN 301 549, WCAG 2.2, and the International edition. You can choose the edition that matches your procurement requirement, or include all four in one combined ACR.
Do I need accessibility expertise?
No prior expertise is required. The scanner automatically tests your site against WCAG 2.2 success criteria and pre-fills the conformance levels in the VPAT template. You review the results, add remarks where needed, and export. For issues the automated scanner cannot evaluate (such as complex custom widgets or video captions), the template provides clear guidance on what to document manually.
What formats can I export?
You can export your completed VPAT 2.5 / ACR as a Word document (.docx) or a PDF. The Word format is ideal when you need to share the document with colleagues for editing or when your organization maintains a library of VPATs. The PDF format is ready for immediate submission to procurement officers or government contracting teams.
Is this an official VPAT?
VPATify produces a document formatted to the VPAT 2.5 standard published by ITI (itic.org). It is an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) that you complete and self-certify — meaning your organization is responsible for the accuracy of the conformance statements. It is not a third-party audit or certification. Most procurement processes accept self-certified ACRs; for contracts requiring an independent audit, you would engage an accredited accessibility firm.
